Shahsevan Jajim, NW Persia/Azerbaijan, 19th Century, 6’10” x 6’2”

An extremely colorful example of flat weave work from NW Persia, presumably.  The lively palette is somewhat different than most of these jajims, where the palette is often restricted to primary colors, for the most part.  The use of green here is somewhat atypical.

The condition is good, with no holes or repairs, and the colors are all derived from natural dyes.
