Few patterns associated with a classic Afshar design pool are as visually active as this particular type.  With the focal point of the design directly in the center of the composition, the jagged lines of design surrounding it seems to create a sense of movement that is also mirrored in the border as the arrow like, multi colored motifs ‘move’ on the white ground.

The condition is relatively good, there is some minor  even wear to the pile but no holes or repair.  The colors are all derived from natural dyes.
