Khamseh Ru-korssi, S. Persia, late 19th Century, 2’10” x 2’10”

A rare weaving, a full pile ru-korssi, with beautiful colors and a nice design.  The plain field is broken up by the appearance of multi colored elements strategically placed.

The condition is ok, there is some uneven wear (probably due to a corrosion issue?) and minor repair.  The colors are all derived from natural dyes.
