A beautiful, old full pile animal trapping (band) woven by the Baluch of Sistan. The design is wonderful, with 'dragon' forms in the guise of stylized 'S' designs, complete with eyes. Such bands are rare and this is an exceptional example of the type with lovely colors (all derived from natural dyes) including a lovely aubergine shade. The condition is perfect, full pile, no holes or repairs.
