Kurd Pile Mafrash Panel, Persia, 19th century, 1' 2"' x 1'

A lovely and quite old example of Kuridsh weaivng from NE Persia. It is rare to find a full pile mafrash panel of any type, expecially one as old as this as well as designed in a very 'tribal' fashion. The presence of birds in the borders is quite nice as well as their incluson in the bottom corners of the field. The condtiion is ok, there is a little bit missing from the bottom edge, there is nothiing missing from the sides or top end. All the colors are derived from natural dyes.
